It’s one thing for a community to have a golf course, swimming pool, pickleball course and clubhouse, but it’s a whole other thing to see all of it in full use.

We are constantly amazed at the engagement within all of the social clubs and activities at Ocean Hills Country Club. It’s truly remarkable.

Every year in January, the clubs gather together at the clubhouse. It’s affectionally known as “Do Dues Day”. Every club has a table at the event and volunteers are there to tell you more about the club, answer any questions and help you get signed up for the year ahead. Whether you’re interested in sailing, RVing, pickleball, table tennis, billiards, sewing, crafting, swimming, dancing, music, theatre….there is a club for you.

You can even have a presence at the event without being an official club. Our Plant-based Potlucker’s interest group had a table this year where we could connect with fellow residents who are interested in exploring more plant-based eating. There were also other interest groups for things like Parkinson’s Support, archery, etc.

When we arrived at the clubhouse that morning, we knew it was going to be a big event, but we were blown away by the turnout! Every parking spot was filled, every golf cart spot was occupied. Abravanel Hall was packed and people were excited! It was the time to see everyone and to support the clubs you care most about.

Residents will often describe OHCC as ‘an unsupervised summer camp for adults’. The clubs take on lives of their own. They draw you in. They give you a place to connect and make friends. A place to explore and try new things. A place to volunteer and engage.

You’ve never seen anything like it and you’re going to love it!

Want to learn more about the amenities and clubs? Just reach out. We’re happy to give you a tour or to share a list of some of the clubs here in OHCC.
