When you drive into the gates at Ocean Hills Country Club, one of the first things you notice is just how clean and bright it is. The white stucco Mediterranean homes, the pristine landscaping, the openness…it feels very welcoming.

The next thing you notice is how most people will wave and smile at you – whether on foot or in their car or golf cart. That’s just not something you see a lot of these days and it feels pretty nice.

As someone who has been driving into the community for the last three decades, I am always amazed that it still feels as new as it did back in the late 90s when my parents first moved into Ocean HIlls.

It’s pretty quiet and relaxed inside the neighborhood. At the same time, you almost always see people out walking or chatting with neighbors. It seems that most everyone knows their immediate neighbors and they kind of keep an eye out for each other. And, with all of the clubs and activities, it’s easy to know neighbors from throughout the community – not just on your street.

Being tucked away at the end of Cannon Rd., it feels quiet and removed inside the gates. That said, we also have easy access to just about anything we might need – shopping, restaurants, entertainment. Everything is nearby.

We are close to Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside and San Marcos for all of our regular stuff. But, we’re also close to downtown San Diego to the south or Orange County to the north – which makes it easy to take full advantage of living in Southern California.

Living in Ocean Hills Country Club makes travel easy. We have an Amtrak station in Oceanside for rail access. For flying, San Diego International Airport is just 40 miles away and Palomar Airport is just six miles down the road.

If you have an RV, you can park it in the on-site parking lot for easy access. It’s also added peace of mind having community patrol services and guarded gates so you can lock your doors and take off for a long adventure without having to worry.

You can also take advantage of treating being home like vacation by utilizing all of the amenities. Grab a racquet and head to the tennis or pickleball courts. Go for a swim. Play a round of golf. Workout at the fitness center. Take a class at the Clubhouse. The options are endless.

With all of the choices, it’s easy to create a lifestyle and daily routine that feels like home.
