On Saturday, August 31, the golf course at Ocean Hills Country Club was closed for regular play so everyone could enjoy “Walk the Golf Course Day”. From 7am to 7pm, the course was open to walk or jog on the fairways – a great way to see the golf course up close even if you are not a player.
Later that day, residents, friends and family gathered for a free outdoor concert on the first hole and the surrounding greens. Everyone brought out their lawn chairs and blankets to picnic, enjoy the music and have some fun.
The band, Fortunate Son, has been hailed as the “World’s Greatest Tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival” and they did NOT disappoint. It was such a blast to see everyone out there having a great time rocking with the classics.
